Please Welcome Dr. Macy Huettl to Skyline Dental
The growth of our practice and the importance of being able to provide timely care and personalized service for our patients have necessitated the addition of another Dentist to our office. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Macy Huettl to Skyline Dental! Her last name is pronounced similar to Little, except it starts with an ‘H’.
Dr. Huettl grew up in the small, one stop light farming town of Stratford, Wisconsin. She spent a lot of her childhood at her grandparent’s apartment above the only grocery store, where she got to know just about everyone in town.
As she got older, she worked as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician and a Caregiver for an elderly couple. She attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison and earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Microbiology. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant during graduate school and instructed lab courses in Biology and Microbiology.
She went on to Dental School at Midwestern University in Illinois. During Dental School, she served as her class President and also received the National Health Service Corps Scholarship which brought her to Oregon.
She has worked for three years at a Community Dental Health Clinic in The Dalles serving underserved patients in the Columbia River Gorge area.
Friends and the beauty and abundance of outdoor activities attracted Dr. Huettl to Central Oregon. She grew up cross country skiing, but is now enjoying downhill skiing. They love tent camping and hiking. They have a beagle mix named Genna that loves to tag along and fetch the ball wherever they go. She is an avid reader and a sucker for a good puzzle or board game by the fire. Their cat, Benny is her indoor activity pal.
As always, the choice of which dentist or hygienist you see at Skyline Dental is up to the patient. Dr. Huettl will simply provide another option for our new and established patients who wish to get in a little sooner, have an emergency or need an appointment time that suits their schedule better.
We have searched for several months for a compassionate and ethical Dentist; someone who puts the needs of her patients above all else, is a gentle and great clinician and subscribes to the same core practice philosophies of Skyline Dental. We appreciate Dr. Huettl joining our practice!
