BONE GRAFTING
Bone grafting is a dental procedure designed to maintain the integrity and shape of the jawbone following a tooth extraction. When a tooth is removed, the surrounding bone may begin to resorb or shrink over time. This natural process can lead to complications when considering future dental treatments, such as dental implants or dentures.
During the bone graft procedure, our skilled dentists utilize advanced techniques to preserve the bone structure. We carefully place a specialized bone graft material into the extraction socket and place a membrane on top of that. We then suture everything back together. Oftentimes this bone grafting procedure results in reduced postoperative discomfort during the healing phase compared to when no grafting procedure is completed.
